Former Google CEO, LinkedIn Founder, and AI Leaders Flock to Events Hosted by Visionaries Club
When Visionaries Club hosts an event, the world of technology pays attention. This Berlin and London-based venture capital (VC) firm is known for drawing in prominent players in the tech industry to its gatherings, including former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman among others.
Founded in 2019 by Robert Lacher and Sebastian Pollok, Visionaries Club has been successful in forming relationships with high-profile tech personalities, including founders of tech successes such as UiPath, Spotify, Skype, Adyen, Miro, Zolando, and Wolt. This has helped the firm raise more than $600 million across five funds and is currently amassing funds for a sixth, which will back young deeptech startups.
Despite its generous spending, the firm is also known for its selectiveness; in 2024 alone, the company only financially backed four startups. The sizable €220 million investment in Paris-based AI startup H Company marked the biggest deal to date for Visionaries Club, an indication of its focused and strategic investments.
Visionaries Club focuses the majority of its investments in the UK, Germany, and France and often collaborates with other big-name venture capitalists, bolstering its credibility and influence in the startup environment. Among its successful bets are Choco, a software for restaurants and suppliers, and UiPath, a business automation platform. Both are unicorn companies, cementing the Visionaries Club’s emerging reputation as a strategic and astute investor.
